This acrylic painting is "In Study of" Jose Antonilez, a Spanish painter of the 1800's. The original painting has a home at the National Gallery of Ireland, who so graciously allowed me a copy of the original, as an art student, so that I could do this painting. Jose Antonilez is a little known Spanish painter who seemed not to paint all that many pictures. Of all of the "Liberation of St. Peter" paintings I've seen, this is the one that moved me and put tears in my eyes. It captivated me.
This is my most recently finished painting. It is my 20th acrylic painting.
